It is the way in which Prophet Mohammad (saw) used to recite (as instructed by Allah (swt). Tarteel on the other hand means reading the Quran with a particular rhythm, keeping the rules of Tajweed intact. There are 3 harakaat (movements) in Arabic There are 7 bold alphabets that have to be pronounced with a strong voice. In Arabic language there are 6 alphabets that have to be pronounced from the bottom, middle and the top of the throat. ![]() Some examples of the rules of Tajweed are as follows: Reciting the Quran with tajweed simply means that a person is applying the rules of tajweed. Basically it is the learning of Prophet Muhammad's (saw) pronunciation and accent of reciting the Holy Quran. Tajweed refers to reciting each Quranic alphabet with the accurate sound.
